Add collections e.g. booker prize list.1 vote
You’re a mind-reader! Collections currently in test, should be released in next few weeks. Thanks for the suggestion
A refresh button on the watchlist, for when you know you've added something to a third-party wishlist, but it hasn't been pulled through yet.
Alternatively, just a countdown timer to when the next sync will happen.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! I’m doing the final testing to a new version of the watchlist which should provide an automatic refresh when new data arrives; and also hopefully fix the speed issues.
But I hadn’t thought of adding a button to schedule a sync of the external sites; nice one!
I would like to specify the shelf name for Goodreads integration. By default it could remain "to-read", but since I already own many of the books on my to-read list, I would create a shelf containing only the books for which I want to monitor the price and it would cut down on the number of emails.15 votes
In the homepage I want to be able to choose a specific store and country for the items displayed under the "Recent Changes" tab. Many users invest on a single platform such as Amazon Kindle and are not interested on purchasing from other stores like Apple or Kobo.54 votes
Just a quick update, I’m making progress on this, but it’s coinciding with some other major changes that I need to make. So I just wanted to let you know I haven’t forgotten about it.
The plan is to have 2 sets of data; (a) the recent changes, but only including the stores you actually follow; and (b) recent changes, but only for books on your watchlist.
I really want this myself :) so will be very glad when it’s done…
no data shown for A Memory of Light: lists countries bot no prices, etc1 vote
Thanks for the comment.
Yes, this is not done well at the moment.
I’m in the middle of fixing it, to make it clearer what is happening.
but the prices are showing up now, just needed your search to get to the head of the queue
Could we have an additional option so that we can search by multiple fields, eg, Author name & Book title. This would be useful for items that the search engine seems to have difficulty in finding.
Sample book Retribution, LM Preston
Thanks for all your hard work, the site keeps getting better (and as you know I use it a LOT!).9 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, this would be a a great idea. Will do when I’ve finished with the current backlog
Filter search results for books/authors by language so that only books in a selected language are displayed. This is especially important for prolific authors who are published in many countries/languages.5 votes
I’m planning to do this; yes, it’s very annoying to get all the spanish/portuguese/finnish versions along with the English..
I plan to do this at the same time as a bunch of other user setting related stuff, hopefully pretty soon.
Thanks for the suggestion
An option to set individual price limits per-book (that override the global setting) would be great - some books I'd only buy for a few pounds, but other's I'd like to know if they dropped below a fiver14 votes
I’ve started making the necessary database changes to support this.
...or make a mobile version of the full Luzme website that renders on smaller screens. Thanks!52 votes
I’ve uploaded a new mobile-friendly version of the site; let me know of any specific problems with it, but it should work better on an Android phone.
app coming later…
But I’d like to know what you’d want from an app that you don’t get from a mobile-friendly website; please get in touch an let me know.
Hello, Perhaps you can have multiple watchlists, and then perhaps make them shareable. So, for example, I want to collect the whole series of the Star Wars Books. I would then set-that up as a discrete watchlist and monitor that list and buy off it when the price dropped. But I could then share that watchlist with others who had the same interest. Also if you have a curated watchlist, you could partner with some retailers, eg Kobo, and then allow users to buy multiple curated titles at a discount. Thanks1 vote
That’s a great idea. Will start thinking about how to design that in.
I don’t yet have the iPhone/iPad app but I have just upgraded to a more mobile friendly version which should work a whole lot better on a phone/tablet.
Please let me know of any problems; I’m aware of one on a Nexus 5 phone which I’m trying to replicate. Let me know of any others.
And this is the next step towards having an app..
It would be useful to know what you want from an app that you wouldn’t get from a mobile-friendly website, please drop me a line and tell me what you’re looking for.
I’m looking for volunteers to help me test this; please get in touch if you can help.
- Don't see your idea?
